This role is for one of Weekday's clients Min Experience: 4 years Location: Bangalore JobType: full-time About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Admission Counselor to join our undergraduate admissions team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about guiding students through one of the most important decisions of their liveschoosing the right academic path. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in student counseling , undergraduate (UG) admissions , and a deep understanding of academic and career planning. As an Admission Counselor, you will play a critical role in representing the institution, advising prospective students and their families, and contributing to our mission of nurturing bright minds for future success. Key Responsibilities: Student Counseling: Provide personalized guidance to prospective undergraduate students and their families regarding academic programs, campus life, admission criteria, application procedures, scholarships, and financial aid. Admissions Support: Manage the complete UG admissions lifecycleright from initial inquiry and application review to interview coordination and final enrollment decisions. Assist applicants in understanding application requirements and deadlines. Outreach & Engagement: Conduct school visits, participate in education fairs, webinars, and open houses to promote UG programs. Build strong relationships with schools, career counselors, and other educational institutions. Application Evaluation: Collaborate with academic departments and admission committees to assess student applications based on eligibility, academic performance, and alignment with institutional standards. Follow-Up & Conversion: Follow up with leads and applicants systematically through calls, emails, and scheduled meetings to ensure conversion of inquiries into enrollments. Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of student interactions, application status, and conversion metrics. Generate reports on application trends, outreach performance, and enrollment rates. Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with the marketing, academic, and operations teams to ensure the seamless delivery of information and alignment of student messaging with institutional objectives. Compliance & Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of ethics, confidentiality, and compliance in all aspects of student interaction and data handling. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum 4+ years of experience in student counseling, admissions counseling, or educational services , preferably for undergraduate programs. Strong understanding of UG admission processes across boards (CBSE, ICSE, IB, and international systems). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills. Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students, parents, and academic institutions. Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Strong organizational and time management skills with an eye for detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
