Job Title: Admission Counselor
Location: CGC University, Mohali

Job Description:

CGC University is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Admission Counselor to join our Admissions team. As an Admission Counselor, you will play a key role in guiding prospective students and their families through the admissions process. You will provide information about our programs, assist with the application process, and offer support to ensure a smooth transition into the university.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to student inquiries and provide guidance on academic programs, application procedures, eligibility criteria, and admissions deadlines.
  • Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions for prospective students and their families, both in-person and virtually.
  • Assist students in completing their applications, including submission of required documents.
  • Provide detailed information on university programs, scholarship opportunities, financial aid options, and campus life.
  • Participate in admissions events such as fairs, webinars, and on-campus open houses.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and applications using the university's admissions management system.
  • Follow up with students who have shown interest in the university to encourage application completion.
  • Stay updated on university policies, programs, and admissions requirements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement recruitment campaigns.
  • Assist with organizing campus visits and other recruitment-related events.
  • Work closely with other departments such as Registrar, Financial Aid, and Student Affairs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Prior experience in counseling, student services, or in an academic environment preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to engage with students and parents and provide clear, accurate information.
  • Knowledge of university programs, admissions procedures, and student visa processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and familiarity with admissions management software is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required during peak admission seasons.
