Active Directory Administrator

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 support for Active Directory (AD) infrastructure, including user accounts, groups, and permissions management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AD-related issues such as authentication failures, replication errors, and group policy issues.
• Manage and maintain organizational units (OUs), user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access control.
• Monitor and maintain AD health, including domain controllers, DNS, and replication status.
• Implement and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security and configuration standards.
• Support integration of AD with other enterprise systems and applications (e.g., Exchange, Office 365, LDAP-enabled applications).
• Perform AD migrations, upgrades, and patching under guidance from senior team members.
• Collaborate with L1 support and other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation for AD processes, procedures, and configurations.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices related to AD.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely incident resolution for critical AD issues.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Active Directory administration and support.
• Strong understanding of AD architecture, domain controllers, sites, trusts, and replication.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for AD automation and reporting.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs.
• Experience with Group Policy management and troubleshooting.
• Experience with ticketing/ITSM tools and SLA-driven support.
• Knowledge of AD integration with Exchange, Office 365, and other enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for AD automation and reporting.
• Experience with Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019, etc.).
• Good understanding of authentication protocols (Kerberos, LDAP, NTLM).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
