Role Overview: As an Accounts and Tax Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and manage the company's books of accounts, assist in GST return preparation and filing, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and support financial statement preparation. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and manage the company's books of accounts on a daily basis, including transactions, journals, and ledgers. - Assist in the preparation and timely filing of GST returns such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B. - Ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations for GST and other statutory filings. - Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations of accounts, including bank and GST reconciliation. - Prepare and maintain records for tax audits, assessments, and other tax-related documentation. - Handle tax-related queries and correspondence with tax authorities. - Support the preparation of financial statements and reports. - Stay up-to-date with tax regulations to ensure the company's compliance with the latest laws. - Provide support for internal and external audit processes when required. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - 2-3 years of hands-on experience in handling books of accounts and taxation. - Strong understanding of GST laws and taxation procedures. - Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, and MS Excel. - Attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. - Strong organizational skills and time management.
