Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

Accounts Payable Operations

  • Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable processes including invoice processing, 3-way matching (POGRNInvoice), payments, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely booking of invoices and on-time vendor payments as per agreed credit terms.
  • Manage domestic and import vendor payments, including forex payments where applicable.
  • Handle employee reimbursements, advances, and settlements.

SAP & Systems

  • Lead AP operations in SAP (FI/MM modules), including:
    • Vendor master management
    • Invoice verification (MIRO)
    • Payment processing (F110)
    • GR/IR reconciliation
    • Account reconciliation and clearing
  • Coordinate with IT/SAP support teams for system enhancements, automation, and issue resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement and process standardization using SAP best practices.

Statutory & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, customs duty, and other statutory requirements related to AP.
  • Review and ensure timely TDS deduction, payment, and return filing.
  • Support internal, statutory, and tax audits; ensure closure of audit observations.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOPs, and Toyota compliance standards.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendor queries, escalations, and dispute resolution.
  • Maintain healthy vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate closely with Procurement, SCM, Plant Finance, and Treasury teams.

Period Closing & Reporting

  • Ensure smooth month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP.
  • Review AP ageing, vendor balances, advances, and provisions.
  • Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and analysis for management review.
  • Monitor key KPIs such as invoice turnaround time, overdue payments, and process efficiency.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the AP team.
  • Allocate work, review outputs, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Identify training needs and build SAP and process capability within the team.
