Job Title: Accounts Executive
Location: Chennai

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our firm. The ideal candidate will have expertise in statutory compliance, accounting software, and payroll processing. The role requires proficiency in handling GST, PF, ESI, and other statutory policies, and experience with tools like Tally, Zoho book, and payroll systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory Compliance:

  • Handle GST returns, reconciliation, and ensure timely compliance with GST regulations.
  • Administer Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), and other statutory policies.
  • Manage all related filings and documentation as per legal requirements.
  • Accounting & Bookkeeping:
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare vouchers and invoices.
  • Handle day-to-day accounting using Tally and Zoho book.
  • Prepare and reconcile accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Payroll Processing:
  • Process monthly payroll, including statutory deductions (PF, ESI, etc.).
  • Prepare payslips and handle payroll-related queries from employees.
  • Audit & Reporting Support:
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing required documentation and reports.
  • Ensure timely submission of all reports and address discrepancies.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 to 2.5 years of experience in accounts, preferably within an audit firm.
  • Statutory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of GST, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
  • Accounting Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Tally, Zoho book, and payroll processing tools.
  • Invoice & Voucher Handling: Experience in managing invoices and vouchers efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Gender Preference: Male candidates only.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
