Job Overview:

We are looking for Accounting assistant to oversee the daily accounting requirements of our school. This role involves ensuring smooth financial transactions, managing vendor payments, preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Publish financial statements in time
• Manage and execute payroll
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Vendor engagement for receipts and payments
• Preparing Fees paid and pending reports
• Bank reconciliation statements and follow-ups

Requirements and skills

• Work experience as an Accountant - minimum 2 years
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
• Hands-on experience with accounting software Tally
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Be a team player and a good communicator

Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in accounting/finance roles, preferably in an educational institution.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
