Accounts Assistant

Job Location: Based at Chemplast Products Pvt Ltd, Bhanpuri Industrial Area, Raipur

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in accounting, taxation (TDS, GST), stock/inventory management, and MIS reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting the finance team in daily operations and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting & Bookkeeping:
• Maintain day-to-day financial transactions in Tally/ERP.
• Prepare journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and reconciliation.
• Assist in finalization of accounts and preparation of financial statements.
• Taxation (TDS & GST):
• Calculate and deduct TDS as per applicable laws.
• File TDS returns (quarterly) and generate Form 16/16A.
• Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns.
• Handle GST reconciliations (2A/2B vs Books).
• Stock & Inventory Management:
• Monitor and maintain inventory records.
• Coordinate with stores/warehouse for stock reconciliation.
• Assist in valuation of inventory and physical stock audits.
• MIS & Reporting:
• Prepare and analyze monthly MIS reports for management.
• Generate reports related to sales, purchases, expenses, and profitability.
• Assist in budgeting and variance analysis.
• Compliance & Audits:
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
• Assist during internal and statutory audits.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails.

Requirements:

• Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA (Finance)
• Experience: 4–5 years in a similar accounting role
• Software Skills: Tally ERP, MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table), knowledge of accounting software/tools
• Other Skills:
• Strong understanding of Indian taxation laws (TDS, GST)
• Good analytical and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing/trading setup is an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
