Accounting Manager - Revenue

Position Summary

Accounting Manger

Overall Role & Responsibility:

• Lead month-end close activities related to revenue, accounts receivable, and cash
• Ensure the company is compliant with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
• Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable, as well as non-revenue related assigned accounts
• Manage and mentor a team of accountants and/or specialists responsible for cash and reconciliation tasks
• Assist with audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and accounting standards
• Reports to the Accounting Director

Essential Tasks:

Revenue Accounting

Review internal revenue reporting, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure compliance and data integrity.

Additionally, the position focuses on driving continuous improvement in the revenue recognition processes and supporting documentation to enhance financial reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Equivalent of a USA bachelors degree in accounting.
• USA Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or international Chartered Accountant (CA) license.
• Solid understanding of ASC 606 and SaaS revenue models.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on revenue and reconciliations.
• 3+ years of experience managing or mentoring staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

PROFICIENCY WITH THE FOLLOWING SYSTEMS IS A PLUS:

• Sage Intact
• Microsoft Office & Related Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Power BI)
• Salesforce and Salesforce Billing experience with developing pricing models for products or services.
