About the Role:

Accounting Manager

Core Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Receivable (AR) Management

  • Oversee the entire receivables cycle, ensuring timely billing and invoicing
  • Follow up with clients for outstanding payments and maintain ageing reports
  • Track revenue recognition, credit limits, and payment terms
  • Coordinate with Sales & Operations to resolve invoicing or reconciliation issues
  • Prepare weekly AR dashboards and cash-inflow projections

2. Accounts Payable (AP) Management

  • Manage vendor payments, supplier reconciliations, and expense settlements
  • Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices, maintaining adherence to payment cycles
  • Monitor vendor ageing, advances, and credit notes
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve disputes promptly
  • Review purchase orders, approvals, and supporting documentation

3. General Accounting & Daily Finance Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting entries and ensure accuracy of the general ledger
  • Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and inter-company accounts
  • Supervise month-end and quarter-end closing processes
  • Maintain statutory books, journals, ledgers, and trial balances
  • Ensure timely preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, MIS reports, and audit schedules

4. Compliance, Controls & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory regulations
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal audit processes
  • Implement internal financial controls, SOPs, and best practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation, record-keeping, and audit-ready transparency

5. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounts team handling AR/AP
  • Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure process adherence
  • Support senior management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Collaborate with HR, Operations, Sales, Vendor Management, and Travel Divisions for smooth financial workflows

Work Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • 8–12 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to AR & AP
  • Experience managing accounts for a mid-scale organisation (travel industry exposure is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and financial statements
  • Proficiency in Tally / Zoho Books / SAP / other ERPs
  • Excellent understanding of reconciliations, ledgers, month-end closures, and MIS reporting
  • Prior experience supervising small teams
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong ownership, accuracy, and integrity
