Role overview

We are seeking an experienced accountant who is proficient in US GAAP and QuickBooks Online (QBO), with hands-on experience in QBO setup and configuration. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing client communications, preparing accurate financial reports, and handling challenging situations with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for US-based clients in compliance with US GAAP

Set up and configure new QuickBooks Online accounts, including chart of accounts, integrations, and automation workflows

Perform monthly closes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

Communicate directly with clients to gather requirements, clarify queries, and present reports

Troubleshoot accounting and system issues with a solution-oriented approach

Coordinate with internal and client teams to ensure timely delivery of reports

Handle escalations and resolve issues with tact and professionalism

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with US-based clients
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Proven experience with QuickBooks Online, including account setup & optimization
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken & written)
• Strong problem-solving ability and confidence in handling difficult client conversations
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a client-facing accounting/advisory role
• Knowledge of financial KPIs and management reporting
• Familiarity with accounting integrations and automation tools
