Accountant - US GAAP specialist

You will be joining a fast-growing accounting and finance services company that specializes in supporting US-based businesses with accurate, timely, and transparent financial management. The company leverages a combination of deep accounting expertise and the latest tech tools to provide exceptional client experiences. As an experienced accountant, your primary responsibilities will include managing full-cycle accounting for US-based clients in compliance with US GAAP standards. This will involve setting up and configuring new QuickBooks Online accounts, including chart of accounts, integrations, and automation workflows. You will be responsible for performing monthly closes, reconciliations, and preparing financial statements such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports. Direct communication with clients will be an integral part of your role, as you will gather requirements, clarify queries, and present financial reports. Additionally, you will troubleshoot accounting and system issues with a solution-oriented approach and coordinate with both internal and client teams to ensure timely delivery of reports. Handling escalations and resolving issues with professionalism will also be expected. To excel in this role, you should have at least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably working with US-based clients. A strong understanding of US GAAP and proven expertise in QuickBooks Online, including account setup and optimization, are essential. Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written, are a must, along with strong problem-solving abilities and confidence in managing challenging client conversations. Being detail-oriented, able to work independently, and meeting deadlines consistently are key attributes for success. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in a client-facing accounting or advisory role, knowledge of financial KPIs and management reporting, and familiarity with accounting integrations and automation tools.,
