Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Accountant with a focus on bookkeeping to manage and maintain accurate financial records for our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience with accounting software, and a meticulous approach to managing financial data. This role is crucial in supporting our financial operations, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately, and assisting with financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping:

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and processing invoices.
  • MIS Reporting:

    Preparing MIS reports for daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
  • General Ledger Management:

    Post and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Financial Reporting:

    Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and compliant with accounting standards.
  • Reconciliations:

    Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Tax Compliance:

    Prepare and assist with tax filings, including GST, TDS, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Audit Preparation:

    Support internal by providing accurate financial data and documentation as required.
  • Documentation:

    Maintain organized and detailed records of all financial transactions and support documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, commerce or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications are plus.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
  • Familiarity with accounting software like Zoho etc.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Power BI.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GST, TDS.
  • Ability to work with financial data and perform complex reconciliations.
