Job Description

Job Title: UK Accounting and Bookkeeping AssistantDepartment: FinanceLocation: Ahmedabad/HybridType: Full-timeSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceOverview: The UK accounting and bookkeeping assistant will support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with UK accounting regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and experience with accounting software. This role is based in Ahmedabad with a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

Process purchase and sales invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts regularly.
Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are correctly coded and up to date.
Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other tax-related documents.
Manage and reconcile petty cash transactions and ensure accurate expenditure tracking.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Assist in preparing financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Respond to bookkeeping queries from internal teams and external stakeholders.
Provide necessary documentation and support during audit preparations.
Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards (FRS 102) and other relevant financial regulations.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records for audit and operational purposes.

About Company: We are a UK-based accounting and IT project management service provider. We have an overseas office based in Bapunagar Ahmedabad Gujarat.
