Accountant I

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate entry of Accounts Receivable invoices into the respective accounting software and support the AR process for collections.
• Handle Cash, Imprest, Bank, and Credit Card related entries; perform monthly reconciliations of all cash, imprest, bank, credit card balances, and vendor accounts.
• Maintain an organized Accounting Database in both soft copy and hard copy formats.
• Assist in preparing GST and TDS return data on a monthly or quarterly basis, as applicable.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end activities, including journals, work papers, and reconciliations.
• Prepare Cash, Bank, and Imprest MIS reports on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Provide support during Internal and External Audits.
• Collaborate with various departments to provide inter-departmental support for accounting-related queries.
• Assist with processing payments, cash disbursements, and reconciling bank/investment accounts.
• Conduct collection follow-ups to ensure timely receipt of payments.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Good communication skillsboth verbal and written.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience with accounting software (added advantage).

Qualifications

Experience: 01 year in the relevant field.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
