Detailed Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and organized financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements. Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and analyzing financial data. Tax Compliance: Preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Auditing: Performing internal and external audits, reviewing financial records for accuracy and compliance. Reconciling Bank Statements: Ensuring accuracy of bank statements by reconciling them with company records. Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Implementing Accounting Systems: Developing and implementing accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Providing Financial Advice: Consulting with management on financial matters, offering advice on investments, mergers, and acquisitions. Resolving Discrepancies: Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or irregularities found in financial records. Supervising Staff: Depending on the role, supervising accounting assistants, bookkeepers, and other staff.
