Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in month end close procedures : Perform expense accruals for global Altus entities.to ensure accurate reporting of expenses
Complete daily bank reconciliations : Continuously complete global bank reconciliations, coordinating with onshore accounting teams to conclude on unreconciled items
Completing various balance sheet account reconciliations : Complete various balance sheet reconciliations, agreeing schedules to GL balance
Manage prepaid expense balances : Set up an maintain prepaid expense balances for global Altus entities including the initial set up of amortization schedule based on invoice details
Perform financial statement and account analysis to help ensure accurate reporting.
Assist with various analyses to help explain variances to budget and to help accurately forecast future trends of expenses.
Review and coding of invoices to help facilitate the accurate reporting of expenses.
Respond to ad hoc inquiries and analytical requests.
Assist in the ongoing improvement and automation of our processes.
Assist with requests from auditors during the quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Ensure expenses are in compliance with company policies and procedures

Key Qualifications:

Business or accounting degree
Chartered Accounting / ACCA qualification is an asset
6+ years of relevant experience
Previous experience with Workday Financial is an asset
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Possess strong time management and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
