Account Receivable (AR) Executive – Medical Billing

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Account Receivable (AR) Executive with strong experience in US medical billing to manage insurance follow-ups, denial resolution, and payment reconciliation. The role focuses on improving cash flow, reducing AR days, and maximizing reimbursements for US healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and work insurance accounts receivable (AR) for US healthcare providers
• Perform follow-ups with insurance payers via calls, portals, and emails
• Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments
• Identify root causes of denials and take corrective actions
• Ensure timely payment posting and reconciliation
• Maintain AR within targeted aging buckets (0–30 / 31–60 / 61–90)
• Handle appeals and reconsiderations with proper documentation
• Coordinate with coding, charge entry, and QA teams to resolve issues
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly productivity and quality targets
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in US Medical Billing AR
• Strong knowledge of:
• Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payers
• CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS basics
• Experience with denial management & insurance follow-ups
• Familiarity with EOBs, ERA, and remittance advice
• Experience with US time zones and payer calling

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of EMR / Billing software eClinicalWorks.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and billing reports
• Ability to analyze AR aging reports
