Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Manage full accounting cycle in

    Tally Prime

    , including purchase, sales, journal, and payment entries.
  • Prepare and file

    GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9)

    directly from Tally with reconciliation of Input Tax Credit (ITC).
  • Prepare and file

    TDS returns

    , generate Form 16A / 26Q, and reconcile TDS liabilities from Tally.
  • Maintain and ensure timely payment and filing of

    PF, ESI, and Professional Tax

    .
  • Handle

    Income Tax

    workings, advance tax calculations, and assist in filing of returns.
  • Coordinate for

    statutory and internal audits

    prepare schedules, verify ledgers, and support auditors.
  • Maintain proper records for

    vendor and customer reconciliation

    including GST matching and outstanding statements.
  • Ensure

    monthly closing of books

    , bank reconciliation, and financial accuracy.
  • Maintain and update

    compliance tracker

    for all statutory filings (GST, TDS, ROC, PF, ESI, PT, etc.).
  • Maintain files for

    ROC compliance

    , including board resolutions, annual returns, and director filings (basic working knowledge required).
  • Liaise with external consultants for

    tax audit, statutory audit, and ROC filings

    .
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial data and support management during assessments or scrutiny.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education:

    B.Com / CA Inter preferred.
  • Experience:

    56 years of hands-on experience in accounting and taxation using

    Tally Prime

    .
  • Industry Background:

    Preference for candidates from

    manufacturing / trading / audit firms

    handling multiple statutory compliances.
  • Strong knowledge of

    GST, TDS, Income Tax

    , and

    ROC

    procedures.
  • Proven ability to

    file returns directly from Tally

    without external assistance.
  • Familiar with

    statutory audits, tax audits, and reconciliation processes

    .
  • Proficiency in

    MS Excel

    for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple compliance deadlines.
  • Good communication skills for coordination with auditors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and capable of working independently with accuracy.
