Account Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable & Payable
• Prepare and issue customer invoices based on job files and supporting documents.
• Record supplier/vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy against quotations, purchase orders, and job costs.
• Monitor collections and follow up with customers on outstanding payments.
• Process supplier payments within agreed timelines.
• Job Costing & Billing
• Verify job costing sheets prepared by operations team against vendor invoices.
• Ensure accuracy of billing to customers (freight, THC, local charges, etc.).
• Resolve discrepancies between quotation, job costing, and final billing.
• General Accounting
• Maintain proper records of all accounting transactions in the system (AP, AR, GL).
• Assist in preparing bank reconciliations, petty cash handling, and journal entries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure all accounting practices comply with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Prepare aging reports for debtors and creditors.
• Support in preparing financial reports for management review.
• Coordination
• Liaise with operations, sales, and customer service teams on billing matters.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and government authorities when required.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
• At least 1–3 years’ experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping industry preferred.
• Familiarity with billing components such as THC, freight charges, customs duties, and handling fees.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, UBS, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
• Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external parties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
