About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics Tutor to deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the UK curriculum. The tutor will be responsible for supporting students from Key Stage 2 to A-level, helping them build strong mathematical foundations, improve problem-solving skills, and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and interactive Maths lessons aligned with the UK curriculum (Key Stages 2–5, including GCSE and A-level).
• Develop lesson plans, practice exercises, and assessments tailored to students’ learning needs.
• Provide clear explanations of mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and regular reports to parents/guardians.
• Prepare students for examinations (11+, GCSE, IGCSE, AS & A-level).
• Use technology and digital tools to enhance the learning experience in online/hybrid teaching settings.
• Foster critical thinking, logical reasoning, and application of mathematical skills in real-life contexts.
• Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independent learning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Proven teaching/tutoring experience in Mathematics within the UK curriculum (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Key Stage 2–5 Maths, including GCSE and A-level syllabus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit varied learning styles and abilities.
• Tech-savvy with experience in online teaching platforms (if remote).
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for student success.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Experience preparing students for competitive entrance exams (11+, 13+, Further Maths).
• Familiarity with Edexcel, AQA, and OCR exam boards.
