Academic Counselor

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic, student-focused Academic Counselor to join our IELTS training institute in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will guide students through course selection, understand their academic goals, and support them throughout their IELTS preparation journey. This role requires strong communication skills, student engagement abilities, and a passion for helping learners succeed.

Key Responsibilities: Student Counseling & Admissions

• Counsel students and parents about IELTS programs, course modules, fees, and schedules.
• Understand student goals (study abroad, immigration, career growth) and recommend suitable courses.
• Handle walk-in inquiries, leads from various sources, and convert them into admissions.
• Maintain accurate student records and follow up with prospective learners.

Academic Guidance

• Provide students with clarity about exam structure, scoring patterns, timelines, and preparation strategy.
• Conduct orientation sessions for new students regarding study plans and institute processes.

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with trainers to schedule demo classes, assessments, and academic sessions.
• Ensure timely feedback is collected from students and report performance to the academic team.
• Support students with exam booking guidance and documentation (if required).

Operations & Reporting

• Achieve weekly/monthly enrollment and conversion targets.
• Maintain counseling, follow-up, and admissions reports.
• Assist with center events, promotional activities, and seminars.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (any discipline).
• 0–4 years of experience in counseling, education sales, or academic advising (IELTS/Study Abroad experience preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong persuasion and relationship-building abilities.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of regional languages is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
