Academic Counsellor

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel students on academic programs, career opportunities, and course selection.

• Assist in identifying students strengths, interests, and career aspirations.

• Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to guide academic planning.

• Maintain student records, track progress, and offer follow-up support.

• Collaborate with faculty and administrative teams to ensure student success.

• Organize orientation programs, workshops, and career guidance sessions.

• Address academic challenges faced by students and provide suitable solutions.

• Stay updated on industry trends, academic programs, and career pathways.

Requirements

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.

• Previous experience as an academic counsellor or in a student advisory role preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to build rapport with students and understand their needs.

• Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in MS Office and student management systems is an added advantage.
