Academic counsellor

Job Overview:

Dakshina Learnings is looking for an experienced and result-driven Academic Counselor to guide and support UPSC aspirants in their preparation journey. The role involves advising students on course selection, enrollment, and learning strategies while ensuring high engagement and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Student Counseling & Guidance:

• Counsel students on UPSC exam strategies, subject selection, and study plans.
• Assess students’ preparation levels and recommend suitable courses.
• Provide guidance on exam patterns, syllabus, and optional subjects.
• Address doubts and concerns regarding coaching programs and learning methodologies.

2. Enrollment & Conversion:

• Follow up with prospective students through calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
• Explain course features, faculty expertise, and study materials to encourage enrollment.
• Maintain accurate records of inquiries and admissions.
• Achieve monthly/quarterly enrollment targets.

3. Student Engagement & Support:

• Conduct orientation sessions and webinars for enrolled students.
• Monitor student progress and provide motivation and study tips.
• Coordinate with faculty to address student concerns.
• Handle queries related to class schedules, test series, and online learning platforms.

4. Marketing & Outreach:

• Participate in educational fairs, college visits, and promotional events.
• Collaborate with digital marketing teams for social media campaigns targeting UPSC aspirants.
• Engage with student communities through WhatsApp, Telegram, and webinars.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

1. Educational & Professional Requirements:

• Any Degree
• 1+ years of experience in academic counseling, career guidance, or UPSC coaching institutes.
• Prior knowledge of the UPSC exam process is highly desirable.

2. Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Malayalam/English
• Ability to establish trust and rapport with students and parents.
• Persuasive skills to convert inquiries into enrollments.

3. Organizational & Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital counseling methods.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a target-driven environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
