THE POSITION

The Academic Assistant/Coordinator at Shiv Nadar School is a critical role that fuses educational operations, technology enablement, and data-driven decision-making. As a core member of the academic ecosystem, the role supports the Director of Education by ensuring that all learning processes, schedules, and instructional systems run with precision. This role requires an individual who can optimize workflows using technology, design visually compelling and digital-first academic resources, and leverage analytics to strengthen academic planning. The ideal candidate is process-oriented, tech-confident, and committed to enhancing both faculty efficiency and student learning through smart systems, tools, and innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGIC SUPPORT

• Coordinate academic calendars, schedules, and learning operations using digital planning tools (Google Workspace, MS365, project management platforms, SIS/LMS systems).
• Lead and execute strategic academic projects, using data dashboards and workflow automation to ensure timely completion.
• Build project timelines, manage task trackers, and generate progress reports through AI & tech platforms (Airtable, Notion, Trello, etc.).
• Manage stakeholder relationships by maintaining digital communication logs, automating meeting schedules, and preparing tech-enabled briefs for leadership.
• Provide strategic insights to the Director of Education using trend analysis, data visualization, and reporting tools.

EDUCATION & INDUSTRY EXPERTISE

• Use knowledge of the education sector to propose tech-integrated academic solutions, process improvements, and modern instructional practices.
• Stay updated on emerging EdTech tools, NEP-related developments, digital learning trends, and academic compliance requirements.
• Maintain strong cross-school relationships to ensure subject-matter accuracy, alignment, and consistent integration of academic technologies.
• Collaborate with educators and leadership teams to identify opportunities for digital transformation, academic partnerships, and innovation-led projects.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

• Oversee and optimize operational processes within the education sector, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement and improve process methodologies to enhance overall operational performance.
• Work closely with leadership, including the Director of Education, to align projects with organizational strategies.

Additional Tech-Forward Contributions

• Create visually appealing presentations, curriculum materials, and reports using Canva, Adobe, or similar tools.
• Support data audits, exam analytics, student performance dashboards, and academic data consolidation.
• Optimize workflows using AI automations.
• Coordinate with Tech and academic teams to troubleshoot academic tech tools (LMS/SIS/assessment platforms).

EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES EDUCATIONAL

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferably a bachelors degree in education, Educational Technology, or related field.

MUST HAVES

• A bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, projects a strong understanding of educational frameworks, standards, and pedagogical approaches.
• Proficiency in IT tools such as Tableau, Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, and learning management systems.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively while managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
