Role Description

3D Animator

This role requires someone who is comfortable iterating quickly, experimenting with styles, and delivering high-quality animations optimized for performance on social platforms.

Responsibilties

• Create

  character animations

  (idle, walk/run cycles, emotes, combat, expressive gestures) suitable for Roblox and Meta Horizon.
• Animate

  props, UI elements, and environmental interactions

  to enhance player immersion.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to integrate animations seamlessly into gameplay.
• Ensure animations are

  optimized

  for performance on UGC platforms, considering rigging limitations and runtime efficiency.
• Experiment with

  stylized, comedic, or exaggerated motions

  to maximize shareability and appeal for social/UGC-first audiences.
• Work with mocap or reference footage where needed, while also being able to craft keyframe animations from scratch.
• Participate in

  rapid prototyping

  of new features and animation-driven gameplay mechanics.
• Stay up-to-date with

  UGC trends, emotes, and community-driven content styles

  on Roblox and Meta Horizon.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a

  3D Animator

  in games, film, or UGC platforms.
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools:

  Maya, Blender, MotionBuilder, or equivalent

  .
• Familiarity with

  Roblox Studio animation tools

  and/or

  Unity Animator/Mecanim

  .
• Strong grasp of

  character rigging, body mechanics, and facial animation

  .
• Ability to work with

  stylized animation styles

  (cartoony, exaggerated, meme-worthy).
• Understanding of

  game engine integration

  and optimization workflows.
• Portfolio showcasing

  gameplay animations, character performance, and expressive emotes

  .

Nice to Have

• Experience with

  UGC content creation

  on Roblox or Horizon Worlds.
• Knowledge of

  procedural animation, physics-based animation, or AI-driven tools

  .
• Passion for

  social multiplayer games, memes, and player-driven content

  .
