Collaborate with various extended teams like the Design team, Content team, and product management to design, implement, and test the best solution possible for the product.
Design and implement features both in frontend and backend to meet critical architecture goals.Participate in design and development activities, perform code reviews and actively contribute to daily team activities (scrum/stand-up meetings, progress checkpoints, demo sessions).Work independently and at the same time collaborate with team members to deliver highest quality code meeting the release deadlinesCooperate with different teams and team members across worldwide development organization, engage in customer support activities resolving complex issues for our customers.Write automated test cases for all the test scenarios for APIs using tools like Jenkins and scripts. .Proactively work with users to collect their feedback, debug issues, provide responses and validate the issues in a timely manner.
5-10 years of professional experience in z/OS application development and platform software tools.
In-depth knowledge and proven expertise in DB2 z/OS system programming, Database administration including IMS, and VSAM.
Strong skills in JCL scripting and working with COBOL copybooks for mainframe batch processing
Proven professional experience of z/OS operating system, DB2, Linux on z: RHEL, RedHat OpenShift, Ansible, z/VMExperience with version control systems like Git) and familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis) and practices.Experience architecting plans for IBM z/OS version upgrades for existing and new IBM Z hardware implementation services, including product migration services for both IBM and third-party ISV software related products
Strong debugging skills and demonstrated effective verbal and written communication in a customer facing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Application Developer - z/OS) are a plus.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated communication skills in a customer facing environmentStrong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Understand technical requirements to craft work scopes, work breakdown structures, labor estimates, and manage risk.
