Position Summary:

Zoology Lecturer

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver lectures, seminars, and practical classes on zoology topics including animal biology, ecology, physiology, taxonomy, and conservation.
Develop and update course materials and syllabi to reflect current scientific advancements.
Supervise student projects, dissertations, and laboratory work.
Conduct original research and publish findings in academic journals.
Guide and mentor students academically and professionally.
Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic events.
Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary teaching and research initiatives.
Organize field trips, workshops, and guest lectures to enhance learning experiences.
Stay updated on latest research, teaching methods, and developments in zoology.
Contribute to university outreach and community engagement programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

Masters degree or PhD in Zoology, Animal Sciences, or related biological sciences.
Teaching experience at the college or university level (preferably 2+ years).
Proven research record and publications in relevant scientific journals.
Strong knowledge of zoological principles, research methodologies, and laboratory techniques.
Effective communication and presentation skills.

Desirable:

Experience supervising postgraduate research.
Familiarity with online teaching platforms and digital tools.
Involvement in academic conferences and professional zoological societies.
