YARD MANAGER

Job Summary

The Yard Manager oversees the daily operations of the yard, ensuring efficient organization, storage, and movement of materials, vehicles, and equipment. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, enforcing safety standards, managing yard staff, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all yard operations, including receiving, storing, loading, and dispatching of materials/equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper tagging, stacking, and segregation of materials.
• Plan and organize yard layout for maximum space utilization and operational efficiency.
• Manage yard personnel — assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of the yard to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and production teams to ensure timely material movement.
• Oversee maintenance of yard equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and trucks, ensuring proper servicing and operation.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures.
• Monitor inbound/outbound material movements and prepare daily/weekly reports.
• Handle documentation related to shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

Requirements:

3–5 years of experience in yard or warehouse management.
Knowledge of construction materials preferred.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to manage a team and work under pressure.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
