Job Title: Xtrackers Product Specialist, AVP
Location: Mumbai, India
Role Description :
  • In this role, you will elevate our ability to quickly derive actionable intelligence from product and market data, thereby enabling our product specialists and client coverage colleagues to better and more efficiently service our clients.
  • You will provide holistic competitor and market intelligence by integrating various data sources within self-developed as well as established analytics tools and applications. Initially, you will focus on mostly structured internal and external data sources. Subsequently, you will also integrate unstructured data using AI technologies. Your role will also be to promote the tool(s) within the broader team and ensure they are adequately used and disseminated.
  • The Xtrackers Products team is responsible for defining and implementing the Xtrackers product strategy, structuring and maintaining ETF and other passive investment solutions, and acting as product specialists for our clients and client coverage colleagues.
  • ETFs and other passive investment solutions are data-intensive products; your role is thus crucial for the successful implementation of Xtrackers growth strategy and bringing our product specialist mandate to the next level. You will work in an international team spanning Germany, the UK, Luxembourg, the US, Japan, and India.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop user-friendly and intuitive web-based product market tool(s) that provide product-by-product comparisons and highlight relative strengths and weaknesses across various domains leveraging static and dynamic product data, flow data, performance data, index data, and ESG data.
  • Integrate various currently independent structured data sources, including internal databases and externally licensed data. Subsequently also assess unstructured data sources.
  • Collaborate closely with relevant technology and operations teams to ensure the availability and sufficient quality of the necessary data.
  • Analyze frequently asked client questions to provide automated and proactive information on key recurring queries.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap for the product market tool(s).
  • Maximize Xtrackers product content use by repackaging content (e.g., research papers) into various formats. With the help of AI tools, generate content in different formats.
  • Collaborate closely with various external and internal stakeholders including CIO / macro steams, client coverage as well as technology and operations teams.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • (Post-)graduate degree or equivalent international qualification; CFA Charterholder or candidates who have passed Level III are preferred.
  • Strong quantitative background, with academic or professional grounding in engineering, mathematics, data science or similar.
  • High proficiency in SQL and Python or any other scripting language, with working knowledge of Bloomberg and Aladdin would be a plus.
  • Proficient in modern software development practices, including version control with Git, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and scalable systems using microservice architecture
  • Proficient understanding of ETFs and equity and fixed income instruments, including derivatives.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data management, data science or quantitative financial services.
