Position Title: Local Compliance Officer ( Experience in UCPMP experience is a must ) Location: Pune About the Role: We are seeking a Local Compliance Officer with strong expertise in Pharmaceutical Compliance , including a deep understanding of UCPMP , GDPR , and Digital Data Protection Act (DDPA) . This role is pivotal in managing compliance risks, driving ethical behavior, and ensuring adherence to global and local compliance frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Ensure robust implementation of UCPMP guidelines and regular audits to ensure compliance. Lead initiatives related to data protection laws (GDPR, DDPA) and internal data handling policies. Drive risk assessments , internal investigations, and root cause analysis in cases of suspected fraud or compliance breaches. Liaise with regional/global compliance teams to align local operations with global standards. Conduct training and awareness programs to build a strong compliance culture. Monitor compliance with anti-bribery, anti-corruption, antitrust, anti-money laundering, and trade compliance regulations. Act as a trusted advisor to business leadership on compliance-related matters. Maintain documentation and records to support audit and regulatory requirements. Must-Have Requirements: 78 years of hands-on experience in Pharma Compliance within a reputed global or Indian MNC (e.g., Sun, Cipla, DRL, Zydus, Lupin). Proven track record in handling UCPMP compliance , risk management , and fraud investigations . Knowledge of local regulatory landscape and global standards in compliance. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. Educational qualifications: Open – CS/LLB is not mandatory. Strong pharma compliance experience is key. Preferred (WoW) Factors: In-depth understanding of corruption, fraud, antitrust, data privacy , and trade compliance laws . Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural teams . Strong interpersonal skills: Assertive, trustworthy, discreet, and service-oriented. Exposure to compliance frameworks in Pharma MNCs or global consultancies. Strong presence and ability to influence and interact with leadership teams.
