XML Specialist

As an XML Specialist / XML Operator, your role involves structuring, editing, and validating content in XML format for publishing, digital learning, and content management systems. You are expected to have a strong knowledge of XML standards, DTD/XSD, and the ability to ensure accuracy and consistency in digital publishing workflows. Key Responsibilities: - Structure content using XML, DTD, XSD, and Schema rules. - Convert source content (Word, PDF, and InDesign) into XML format. - Validate and troubleshoot XML files for accuracy. - Integrate XML content into CMS and publishing platforms. - Work with cross-functional teams (editors, developers, QA) to ensure high-quality deliverables. - Support automation scripts/tools for bulk XML conversion. - Maintain XML best practices and documentation. Qualifications Required: - Any Graduate (Computer Science, IT, Publishing, or related field preferred). As an XML Specialist, you should possess strong knowledge of XML, DTD, XSD, and Schema validation. Familiarity with tools like Oxygen XML Editor, Arbortext, XMLSpy is essential. Understanding of XSLT, XPath, and XQuery is preferred. Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and EPUB workflow would be an added advantage.
