Job Description

WordPress & PHP Development
Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP Build reusable, well-structured, and maintainable code following WordPress coding standards Customize WordPress core functionality using hooks, filters, and REST APIs Implement Gutenberg blocks and modern WordPress features where required Frontend & UX Integration Convert UI/UX designs (Figma, Adobe XD, PSD) into responsive WordPress experiences Work with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and modern CSS frameworks Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility Performance, Security & Scalability Optimize WordPress sites for performance, SEO, and Core Web Vitals Implement caching, CDN, image optimization, and database optimization strategies Apply WordPress security best practices, including vulnerability mitigation and role-based access control Integrations & CMS Management Integrate WordPress with third-party services such as CRM, payment gateways, analytics tools, and marketing platforms Build and consume APIs (REST / JSON) for headless or hybrid WordPress implementations Manage content workflows, custom post types, taxonomies, and advanced custom fields DevOps & Maintenance Work with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines Handle deployments, backups, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance Debug production issues and provide long-term support Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Strong proficiency in PHP (5 x/7 x/8 x) Deep experience with WordPress core, themes, plugins, and hooks Solid understanding of MySQL / MariaDB Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery Experience with REST APIs and JSON Familiarity with SEO best practices and performance optimization Tools & Platforms WordPress, WP-CLI Git (GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket) Composer (good to have) Experience with hosting platforms (AWS, Azure, shared hosting, or managed WP hosting) Good To Have (Preferred Skills) Experience with WooCommerce and custom e-commerce workflows Knowledge of headless WordPress (React / Next js frontend) Exposure to ACF, WPML, Polylang, or multi-site setups Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) standards Familiarity with security tools and vulnerability scanning Experience 6-8 Years Skills Primary Skill: WordPress Development Sub Skill(s): WordPress Development Additional Skill(s): jQuery, PHP, HTML, WordPress Development, JavaScript Development About The Company Infogain is a human-centered digital platform and software engineering company based out of Silicon Valley We engineer business outcomes for Fortune 500 companies and digital natives in the technology, healthcare, insurance, travel, telecom, and retail & CPG industries using technologies such as cloud, microservices, automation, IoT, and artificial intelligence We accelerate experience-led transformation in the delivery of digital platforms Infogain is also a Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Gold Partner and Azure Expert Managed Services Provider (MSP) Infogain, an Apax Funds portfolio company, has offices in California, Washington, Texas, the UK, the UAE, and Singapore, with delivery centers in Seattle, Houston, Austin, Krakw, Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru
