WLAN Test Engineer (Manual/Automation)

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Embedded Test Engineer with hands-on experience in WLAN product/feature testing/validation.The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of wireless communication protocols and networking. You will be part of a dynamic engineering team developing cutting-edge wireless solutions for next-generation IoT and connectivity platforms.

Expected Experience: 3 to 5 years

Location: Chennai OR Coimbatore OR Ahemedabad OR Bangalore

Salary: 7 to 9 LPA

Expected skill sets:

Mandatory:

1. Expected to have basic knowledge on Networking and Wireless protocols

2. Should have hands-on experience in validation of wireless products such as Router,

Access Point or PtP or Extenders.

3. Should have ability to study and understand the latest WLAN features/protocol and

prepare test cases for manual and automated testing.

4. Should have expertise in any one of the automation frameworks such as PyTest or

Robot or Selenium.

5. Should be able to read IEEE 802.11 standards to understand the protocol and prepare

test plans accordingly.

6. Should have expertise in Python or any other relevant scripting language.

7. Should have expertise in WLAN functional, stability, performance and regression testing.

8. Should have basic knowledge on IEEE 802.11b/a/g/n standards.

Good to have:

1. Hands-on experience in Qualcomm based WLAN products testing.

2. Long range WLAN functional testing experience.

3. Understanding in IEEE802.11ax/be standards.

4. Hands-on experience in testing WDS or Mesh topology.

5. Prior experience in testing drone or fixed wireless based WLAN products.

Roles/Responsibilities:

1. Being prepared for manual and then automated testing of WLAN features in various

products. This includes custom developed complex features.

2. Prepare new test plans to break/validate the recently developed features based on the

requirements and use case.

3. Keep updated on the latest WLAN features to understand the real-time use case and

challenges.

4. Prepare test bed for CI/CD and automation testing with recent releases.

5. Understand the basic functionality of the feature or product in a short term and prepare

test plans and execution for the same.

6. Closely work with the R&D/Development team to understand the feature for validation.

7. Closely work with the Customer to make sure if the final results meets the requirements.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
