"WLAN Developer", for one of our reputed Client, based out in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Pollachi, Nagpur, Bhubaneswar, Manesar, Ahmedabad.

Job Role:- WLAN Developer

Exp Range:- 5-10yrs

Job Purpose/Summary:-

experienced WLAN Developer with 5 to 10 years of IT experience, including deep hands-on work with WLAN.

Key Responsibilities: -

• WLAN Linux Device Driver Development:

  Design, develop, and maintain Linux-based WLAN device drivers, with a preference for 802.11ax standards.

• Firmware Development:

  Develop and optimize WLAN firmware for modules supporting standards like 802.11ac and 802.11n.

• Debugging:

  Identify and resolve issues at the driver, firmware, and OS integration levels to ensure seamless performance.

• Performance Tuning:

  Optimize parameters such as throughput, latency, and power consumption for enhanced efficiency.

• Feature Development:

  Implement new features and enhancements in the WLAN stack, focusing on MAC and PHY layers.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  Work closely with hardware engineers and testing teams for validation, integration, and debugging processes.

• Tool Utilization:

  Employ tools like hostapd, wpa_supplicant, tcpdump, and Wireshark for debugging and verification tasks.

• Cross-Compilation:

  Handle porting tasks for different SoCs, chipsets, and platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance.

• Documentation:

  Maintain comprehensive documentation for driver interfaces, design specifications, test cases, and debug logs.

• Standards Compliance:

  Ensure adherence to wireless standards and security protocols, including WPA2 and WPA3.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in

  Embedded C

  , especially in kernel / user space (Linux) environments
• Handson experience with WLAN/Linux driver development
  
• Good understanding of wireless standards:

  802.11ac, 802.11n

  , aur preferably

  802.11ax / WiFi6 / WiFi7

• Experience with debugging tools and methodologies for WLAN / driver / firmware bugs
  
• Solid Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP stack, security protocols, etc.
  
• Familiarity with opensource wireless stack components (hostapd, supplicant), and use of tools like Wireshark
  
• Good problem solving skills, capability to debug complex system issues
  
• Degree in Computer Science / Electronics / Electrical Engineering or related field
