Job Description

As a Wireless Network Engineer at GSPANN, your primary responsibility will be to design, deploy, and manage Cisco wireless solutions. You will work hands-on with Cisco WLCs, Access Points, DNA Center, and ISE to ensure high-performance, secure, and scalable wireless networks. Here are the details of your role and responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and maintain Cisco wireless LAN solutions supporting IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards. - Administer Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), Lightweight Access Points (APs), and Mobility Anchors for seamless wireless operations. - Utilize tools like Cisco Digital Network Architecture Center (DNAC), Cisco Prime Infrastructure, or Ekahau for monitoring and troubleshooting wireless performance, client connectivity issues, and interference. - Implement wireless security policies including WPA2/WPA3, IEEE 802.1X authentication, MAC filtering, and guest network access. - Configure RADIUS and Cisco ISE for secure wireless authentication and policy enforcement. - Conduct RF site surveys, analyze wireless coverage and capacity, and recommend design improvements. - Coordinate firmware upgrades, patches, and performance tuning for optimized wireless infrastructure. - Document wireless network designs, policies, and standard operating procedures using appropriate network documentation tools. - Collaborate with Network, Security, and Helpdesk teams to resolve complex wireless issues. - Engage with vendors and OEMs for technical support and advanced troubleshooting. Your qualifications and experience should include: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in enterprise wireless networking, preferably in Cisco environments. - Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP Wireless. - Cisco Certified Specialist Enterprise Wireless Implementation certification. - Hands-on expertise with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, Access Points, DNA Center, and ISE. - Proficiency in wireless networking standards and RF planning tools. - Knowledge of VLANs, ACLs, SNMP, FlexConnect, QoS, and SD-Access. - Practical experience with Meraki Wireless solutions in hybrid deployment environments. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for real-time issue resolution.
