Job Description

As a Senior Professor in the esteemed music department, you will be responsible for teaching Western vocal techniques and music production courses. Your key responsibilities will include: - Teaching a variety of Western vocal techniques such as classical, musical theater, and contemporary styles. - Developing and implementing curriculum for Western vocal courses. - Conducting music production courses covering recording, editing, and mixing. - Mentoring and guiding students in their vocal development, performance preparation, and music production projects. - Leading masterclasses, workshops, and recitals. - Participating in departmental service and committee work. - Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the growth and development of the music program. Qualifications required for this role include: - A Master's degree in Music (Vocal Performance or Music Production) or a related field, with a preference for a DMA or Ph.D. - At least 5 years of teaching experience at the college level. - A strong background in Western classical and/or contemporary vocal performance and music production. - Excellent teaching and mentoring skills. - The ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in music production software and hardware such as DAWs, plugins, and recording equipment. Preferred qualifications for the position include: - Experience in teaching a wide range of vocal styles and genres. - Familiarity with music technology and digital tools. - A record of performances, recordings, and publications. - Experience in curriculum development and assessment. - Industry experience in music production and recording.,
