Job Title: Welder / Fabricator Welder / TIG Welder / MIG Welder / Arc Welder Department: Production / Manufacturing / Fabrication / Maintenance / Engineering Reports To: Production Supervisor / Fabrication Manager / Workshop Foreman Location: Nashik, Maharashtra, India (This is primarily an on-site, workshop/factory-based role, with potential for occasional site work.) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team in Nashik. The Welder will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal components and structures using various welding techniques, adhering to blueprints, specifications, and safety protocols. This role is essential for the structural integrity and precision of our products and projects, contributing directly to our manufacturing and construction excellence. Key Responsibilities: Welding and Fabrication: Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols to understand project specifications, dimensions, and welding requirements [ 1.2 , 1.3 , 2.4 ]. Select appropriate welding equipment and methods (e.g., Arc (SMAW), TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), Gas welding, Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)) based on the type of metal, thickness, and project specifications [ 1.1 , 1.2 , 4.2 ]. Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, cutting, and shaping metals using tools such as angle grinders, power saws, and torches [ 1.1 , 1.3 , 2.3 ]. Set up components for welding according to specifications, using clamps, calipers, and rulers to ensure alignment [ 2.4 ]. Perform welding in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) as required by the project [ 2.4 ]. Fill seams, indentations, and holes in metal products, and repair machinery or other components by welding pieces and filling gaps [ 1.2 , 2.4 ]. Quality & Inspection: Inspect materials and structures for welding defects before, during, and after the welding process to ensure high-quality welds and structural integrity [ 1.1 , 1.3 ]. Assess the quality of welds and identify flaws, performing necessary corrections or enhancements [ 2.3 , 2.4 ]. Clean and finish welded products by removing slag and excess material. Maintenance & Safety: Properly operate, maintain, and store welding tools, equipment, and machinery [ 1.2 , 2.3 ]. Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as welding helmets with proper shade lenses, safety glasses, fire-resistant jackets, gloves, and steel-toed boots [ 1.3 , 5.1 , 5.3 ]. Ensure a well-ventilated workspace, keep the area free of flammable materials, and ensure proper grounding of welding equipment to prevent electric shock [ 5.1 , 5.3 , 5.4 ]. Documentation & Communication: Accurately report on stock material levels and request new materials when needed [ 2.3 ]. Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to coordinate tasks and provide input on projects [ 2.3 , 2.4 ].
