Welder / Fitter

Job Title: Welder/Fitter Location: Sriperumbudur, Chennai Job Type: Contract Shift: Day Compensation: 13000 Per Month We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both fitting and welding metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications Fit and weld components using MIG, TIG, or Stick welding techniques Perform tack welding and full welds to assemble structural and fabricated parts Inspect completed welds for quality and adherence to specifications Operate hand and power tools such as grinders, cutting torches, and saws Ensure proper material handling, storage, and inventory tracking Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety policies and procedures Qualifications: Proven experience as a welder/fitter (minimum 2 years preferred) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding Knowledge of various metals and their properties Strong attention to detail and quality control Ability to lift [X] lbs and stand for extended periods Certification in welding (CWB or equivalent) is a plus Familiarity with fabrication shop tools and equipment Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player What We Offer: Competitive wages based on experience and qualifications Overtime opportunities (if applicable) Health & dental benefits (if applicable) Safe, supportive, and team-oriented work environment Opportunities for growth and advancement
