Web Development Intern (React.js / Node.js)

About the Role

As a Web Development Intern, you will be an integral part of our small, dynamic team. You will work directly with the founder to manage our existing applications and implement incremental changes.

Your primary role will be to write clean, efficient code for both the frontend and backend, helping us fix bugs, improve performance, and roll out new features.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain code for our web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, and Node.js.
• Assist in debugging issues and implementing bug fixes on the front-end and back-end.
• Collaborate on developing and implementing new features and UI components.
• Work with REST APIs to connect the frontend to our backend services.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate on a shared codebase.
• Participate in the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Solid foundation in JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands-on experience with React.js (understanding of Components, Hooks, and State Management).
• Basic understanding of Node.js and the concept of RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• A strong desire to learn, a proactive attitude, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Bonus Points (Good to Have)

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Knowledge of the Next.js framework.
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS or Material-UI.
• A portfolio of personal projects on GitHub that you can share.
