We're Hiring: Web Developer – PHP & WordPress Experience: 2 to 4 years Location: Chennai (On-site) Company: Elephant in the Boardroom Job Type: Full-time | Permanent Elephant in the Boardroom is looking for a skilled and motivated Web Developer with 2 to 4 years of experience, specializing in PHP and WordPress . If you’re passionate about building high-quality websites and web applications that deliver real impact, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. As part of our growing development team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic websites. You’ll work alongside front-end developers, designers, and product teams to create seamless, secure, and scalable web experiences. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain WordPress websites and PHP-based applications Customize themes and plugins to meet project requirements Design and manage MySQL databases with performance in mind Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code Collaborate with cross-functional teams for cohesive delivery Follow best practices in coding, performance, and security Keep technical documentation up to date Requirements: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience with PHP, WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Proficiency in MySQL and version control systems (e.g., Git) Experience with custom WordPress theme/plugin development Understanding of RESTful APIs and web security best practices Familiarity with front-end libraries (e.g., React or Vue.js) is a plus Exposure to Agile practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is an advantage Benefits: Day shift (Monday to Friday) Provident Fund Opportunity to work with a creative and collaborative team Ready to Apply?
