Web Design and Development Manager

Role Overview:

As a Web Design & Development Manager, you will lead a team of talented developers while actively contributing to hands-on design and programming projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure that every web solution is not only technically sound but also strategically aligned with organizational goals. This role demands a versatile professional who can balance design excellence, technical execution, leadership, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

Web Design & Development

• Design and develop visually compelling, user-friendly, and responsive websites.
• Translate design mockups and wireframes into functional web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
• Champion UX/UI best practices to enhance usability, engagement, and conversions.
• Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and multi-device compatibility.
  

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary liaison between the development team and business stakeholders.
• Gather project requirements, clarify expectations, and provide progress updates.
• Build consensus by effectively managing expectations, addressing concerns, and incorporating feedback.
  

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of web developers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee resource allocation, workload distribution, and project timelines.
  

Project Management

• Oversee the entire web project lifecycle from ideation to delivery.
• Manage multiple projects while ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Identify risks, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement solutions for project success.
  

Quality Assurance & Security

• Conduct thorough testing for performance, functionality, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Ensure all websites meet design, performance, and security benchmarks.
• Implement secure coding practices and maintain awareness of web security standards.
  

Continuous Learning & Development

• Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to measure and enhance site performance.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends, tools, and technologies in web design and development.
• Promote training, workshops, and professional growth within the team.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or related field.
• 7+ years of proven experience in web design, front-end development, and project management.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
• Strong graphic design background with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) expertise.
• Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative workflows.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
