Waste Management Supervisor/Manager

Role Overview: As a Waste Disposal Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of waste collection, disposal, and recycling processes. You will ensure that all waste management activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and environmental standards. Additionally, you will develop, implement, and maintain waste management policies and procedures to optimize waste reduction, segregation, recycling, and disposal. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise a team of waste management staff and contractors, providing guidance on efficient waste segregation and conducting training on waste management best practices. - Develop and implement programs aimed at reducing waste and improving recycling efforts across the organization. - Prepare and manage the waste management budget, monitor waste disposal costs, and ensure cost-effective practices. - Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, maintain accurate records of waste disposal, and prepare reports for management or regulatory agencies. - Liaise with external contractors and service providers to ensure timely and efficient waste handling. - Implement safety protocols related to waste handling, storage, and disposal and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance. - Track and analyze waste management data, develop key performance indicators (KPIs), and recommend process improvements based on data analysis. Qualifications Required: - Education: A bachelor's degree in environmental science, waste management, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in waste management or environmental sustainability are a plus. - Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in waste management, environmental compliance, or a similar role. Supervisory experience is preferred. - Skills: Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills. In-depth knowledge of waste management principles, including recycling and disposal methods. Familiarity with local and national environmental laws and regulations. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficient in waste management software and data analysis tools.,
