Warehouse Assistant

• A Warehouse Assistant handles daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods, maintaining accurate inventory, operating equipment like forklifts, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and processing orders efficiently in a fast-paced setting, requiring physical stamina and attention to detail.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Order Fulfillment: Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment.
• Inventory Management: Receiving shipments, verifying contents, updating records, conducting stock counts, and managing stock levels.
• Shipping & Receiving: Unloading deliveries, preparing outbound shipments, labeling items, and managing delivery documents.
• Equipment Operation: Safely using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other tools to move materials.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Keeping the facility clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Safety Compliance: Following all health, safety, and security protocols.
• Team Collaboration: Communicating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
• Essential Skills & Qualifications:
• Physical Ability: Capable of standing, walking, lifting heavy items (often 50+ lbs), and working in a physically demanding role.
• Attention to Detail: For accurate picking, packing, and inventory.
• Organizational Skills: To keep stock organized and records accurate.
• Basic Tech Skills: Familiarity with inventory software is a plus.
• Certifications: Forklift operation certification may be required.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work Environment:
• Fast-paced, often busy environment. May involve working nights, weekends, or holidays.
• Requires adherence to strict health and safety standards.
