Ward Boy

Responsibilities: Patient Care & Mobility: Assisting patients with personal hygiene, such as bathing, toileting, and dressing.  Helping patients with mobility, including moving in and out of bed or using a wheelchair.  Supporting patients with meals and feeding as needed.  Assisting patients with suggested exercises or walks.  Ward and Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of patient rooms, beds, and surrounding areas.  Changing linens and managing dirty laundry.  Maintaining and cleaning ward equipment and furniture.  Properly disposing of medical waste according to hospital protocol.  Logistical Support: Transporting patients to and from different departments, such as radiology or physical therapy.  Running errands within the hospital, such as delivering patient files, reports, or samples.  Assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.  Helping in the shifting of medical equipment or furniture as needed.  Assisting Nursing Staff: Supporting nurses and doctors with minor procedures by positioning patients or handling equipment.  Providing general assistance to nursing staff in non-medical tasks.  Helping with the collection and handling of pathological specimens.
