Job Description

W2 Recruiter

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and attract candidates through job boards, social media, ATS, referrals, and networking.
  • Conduct initial screenings to assess qualifications, availability, compensation expectations, and W2 eligibility.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers or account managers to understand client requirements and job specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with W2 employment documentation including I-9, W-4, E-Verify, and onboarding paperwork.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and clients.
  • Present offers, negotiate rates, and explain W2-specific benefits and payroll processes.
  • Maintain relationships with placed consultants to ensure satisfaction and support redeployment efforts.
  • Track and report on recruitment activities using ATS and CRM systems.
  • Stay updated on U.S. employment regulations, visa rules, and tax compliance related to W2 employment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in HR, Business, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in W2 or agency staffing.
  • Strong knowledge of W2 employment practices and U.S. work authorization requirements.
  • Proficiency with ATS/CRM tools 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of C2C vs. W2 vs. 1099 employment models.
