Job Description

Role Overview: You are sought after to fill the role of Vice President of Hardware Engineering at a company in India. Your main responsibility will be to build and lead the hardware engineering team, focusing on the development of cellular and Wi-Fi enterprise-class routers. Your leadership and expertise in hardware design will be crucial in driving the success of the team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet market demands and customer needs. Key Responsibilities: - Recruit, build, lead, and manage the hardware engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Drive the hardware design and development process to deliver reliable products meeting market demands and customer needs. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align hardware engineering efforts with company objectives. - Manage relationships with overseas ODM and JDM partners to meet project timelines and quality standards. - Oversee the development of cellular and Wi-Fi enterprise-class routers, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices. - Provide strategic direction and guidance to the hardware engineering team to drive performance and innovation. - Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance hardware offerings and maintain a competitive edge. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - At least 10 years of engineering experience with a focus on hardware design. - At least 5 years of leadership and people management experience. - Deep understanding of hardware design principles, methodologies, manufacturing, and best practices. - Experience working with overseas ODM and JDM partners on global projects. - Expertise in developing cellular and Wi-Fi enterprise-class routers. - Program management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. - Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts. - Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic initiatives. - Demonstrated engineering leadership with a track record of delivering successful hardware products.
