Role Overview: As a Credit Officer within the Asia Funds Team at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in managing a portfolio of Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, and Asset Managers domiciled in the Asia Pacific region. Your responsibilities will include acting as the primary credit coverage for the assigned portfolio, maintaining the credit relationship, leading client due diligence meetings, and providing expertise in transaction structuring and risk mitigation strategies. You will be expected to demonstrate a deep understanding of investment strategies and risks inherent to Hedge Funds and Asset Managers, while also driving key initiatives and process changes to ensure effective risk management. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the main point of contact for all Lines of Businesses regarding the management of the credit relationship for Asia-Pac Hedge Funds and Asset Managers - Assign internal ratings, recommend credit appetite, and assess risk measures to determine appropriateness - Lead client due diligence meetings, oversee transaction structuring and execution, and negotiate legal documentation - Review and approve trading activity, recommend margin requirements, and propose structural solutions to mitigate risks - Build effective client partnerships internally and externally, ensuring business priorities are understood, challenged, and managed - Independently drive end-to-end processes and transactions, communicate key risk views clearly, and coach and train junior team members - Maintain knowledge of regulatory frameworks, industry trends, and market developments to effectively manage portfolio risk - Drive key initiatives and process changes by identifying limitations/gaps in systems, risk controls, and policies - Collaborate with NA/EMEA Credit counterparts to ensure a consistent global coverage model Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; relevant post-graduate qualifications (e.g., CFA, Masters of Finance) are highly regarded - Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management in the financial services industry - Familiarity with Credit Risk concepts, risk and return metrics, and counterparty credit risk analysis - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work well in a team environment, and establish credibility with stakeholders - Strong organizational and time management skills, high attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Highly motivated with a passion for learning, intellectual curiosity, sense of accountability, and ownership of tasks Additional Company Details: Omit this section as no additional details of the company are present in the provided job description.,
