Voice Engineer

Job Description: As a Tier 2 Voice Engineer/Network Technician, your role involves participating in a rotating 24*7*365 shift schedule to provide operational coverage. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing trouble ticket incident management - Proactively monitoring and troubleshooting the network - Handling customer escalations and ensuring timely updates - Collaborating with other NOC Engineers and Network Operations Centers - Maintaining operational standards as per customer SLAs, ensuring fast response times Qualifications Required: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - Excellent understanding of SIP protocol, VOIP, Broadsoft, Hosted service, Linux/Unix - Proficiency in ISUP, Q.931 signaling protocols, and call flows - Deep knowledge of SIP and H.323 protocols - IP knowledge up to CCN level with a good understanding of the Transmission layer - General knowledge of the telecom industry and standards - Strong background in Voice Operations within a Telco or large ISP environment - Fluent English language skills - Familiarity with Sonus/Ribbon, Genbands, Polycom IP Phones, and Cisco IP phones Additional Company Details: The Network Management Centre (NMC) at GTT manages and maintains the pan-European, US, and Canada network 24x7. You will interact with internal departments such as Service Desk, TSS, Incident, and Problem Management.
