VMC Operator

Responsible for operating and setting up Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines to produce precision components as per drawing and quality requirements. The operator ensures efficient machine operation, quality output, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up VMC machines according to job instructions and process sheets.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and tool layout sheets.
• Load raw materials and tools into the machine.
• Check dimensions of finished parts using measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.).
• Make necessary offsets and minor adjustments to achieve required tolerances.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure optimum production output.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the work area.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures during operations.
• Report deviations, machine breakdowns, or tool wear to the supervisor immediately.
• Support preventive maintenance activities as required.

Qualification & Experience:

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant trade.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience as a VMC Operator in a precision or automobile component manufacturing company.
• Fresher: Can be considered if having good technical knowledge and learning attitude.

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operation and basic programming (Fanuc / Siemens / Haas controls preferred).
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and use measuring instruments.
• Understanding of tool setting, offsets, and cutting parameters.
• Basic knowledge of machining processes and materials.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Teamwork and discipline in a manufacturing environment.

Work Schedule:

• Shift Basis: Rotational / As per company policy
• Working Hours

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,492.24 - ₹17,048.20 per month
